Cocktails, cakes and quick fire dates
Something exciting happened last week. We put on our party hats, pumped up the tunes and hosted our first-ever event. For one night, we weren't only organising dates - but trying our hand at matchmaking.
It was speed-dating like we’d never seen it before: forget stilted small talk and terrible chat up lines, our event brought together friends and singles for a night of quick-fire dating, music and (plenty of) drinks. With miniature versions of our dates spread around the room (think blind folded cheese tasting, cider sampling and portrait drawing), our guests could relax as the stress of meeting new people was alleviated.
People arrived at our favourite Tea Room with-a-twist, Cox and Baloney, where they were greeted by complimentary tea pot cocktails and dozens of delicious cakes! The hosts ran each 'station date', encouraging guests to get creative, put their tastebuds to the test and break the ice.
And, needless to say, the ice was broken. The tunes were blasting, drinks were flowing and everyone was getting on like a house on fire. Not only were new relationships blossoming, but everyone was getting the chance to learn more about what we do.
There was fun with green screens, prizes to be won and every single person left with Datemakers freebies.
Take a look at some of our fave photos from the night, and keep your eyes peeled for the next one!
Something tells us you haven't seen the last Datemakers event... so see you soon!
